My Studio nestled in the heart of Buckinghamshire, is a sanctuary where art meets purpose, a place where luxury is woven into every creation, transforming the ordinary into the extraordinary. This serene, light-filled charming space is where artistry and craftsmanship converge. Here I am at one with my practice, the intimacy is immersive, and I can experience the transformation of personal items into a state, of resin-readiness for eternal preservation.
It is here that I will transform luxury, pop culture, and everyday objects into transparent resin handbags— The unique sculptures are not handbags to use but objects of desire to appreciate. I have a few of my collections in the studio for you to view, touch, experience and acquire should you so wish.
My first solo exhibition in New York marked a turning point for Artbag Studio. My innovative resin handbags, illuminated as table lamps, drew attention for their striking combination of art and design. This show attracted collectors and earned a feature in the New York Times, leading to my first major commission.
In a standout collaboration, Coca-Cola commissioned me to celebrate 100 years of the Coke bottle. 15kg Artbags were showcased on a global roadshow, including at the World Expo in Milan. A permanent installation at the Fairmont Hotel in Hamburg further demonstrated my ability to seamlessly merge brand culture with fine art, while presenting thought-provoking perspectives on consumerism.
At NYC Fashion Week, my Artbag’s made a statement on the Rockefeller Centre runway. My iconic designs fused fashion and art, exploring themes of desire and luxury carried by men and women alike. I then introduced the world’s most coveted handbag silhouette, the Birkin following advice from her Miami Dealer and filled it with single dollar bills. Around this time, a significant sale was made to billionaire art collector Mark Cohen in Palm Beach through BIBA Gallery.
During the global lockdown, I presented my largest solo installation at Shanghai IFC Mall, covered extensively by the Chinese press and TV. My Artbags symbolised the halted movement of people and goods, reflecting on the isolation of the pandemic. This exhibition reinforced the international reach of my work, resonating deeply with global audiences.
In Dubai, I held a major solo exhibition with Art Korero, showcasing my global appeal. I also expanded my presence in the UK by signing with Clarendon Fine Art. In a creative collaboration with Sarah Jessica Parker’s shoe brand, I brought my quirky artistic style to high-end fashion, further blending the worlds of luxury and art.
In 2024, I opened my Buckinghamshire workshop, bringing all Artbag production in-house. This step allows for greater creative control, enabling me to explore new designs and concepts. Alongside my Print collection, I am preparing for further international exhibitions while continuing to grow my team and push the boundaries of Artbag Studio.
